Everything you need to know about Indiequery
To connect your database, navigate to your Indiequery dashboard and click "Add Database Connection". You'll need to provide key connection details including the connection name, host address, port number, database name, username, and password.
When setting up the connection, create a dedicated read-only database user with SELECT permissions to ensure security. Indiequery will automatically test the connection when you save it, and you can manually retest connections at any time from your connections list. Be prepared to whitelist Indiequery's server IP address in your database firewall settings and ensure your database accepts external connections.
Indiequery currently supports PostgreSQL and MySQL databases. These two popular database systems cover the needs of most indie developers and small teams.
We're open to expanding our database support based on user demand. If you need support for a different database system, please email our team with your request. While we don't have fixed dates for new integrations, we plan to prioritize the databases that receive the most interest from our users.
Indiequery prioritizes data security through multiple layers of protection. We encrypt database credentials, enforce SSL/TLS connections, and provide read-only database access. All database connection details are encrypted, query results are automatically deleted after 7 days, and the platform runs on secure European infrastructure with strict access controls.
Key security features include forced SSL connections, no persistent data caching, isolated user environments, and limited query execution. We recommend creating dedicated read-only database users and enabling two-factor authentication. Indiequery maintains transparency about security practices and commits to promptly addressing any potential security concerns.
You can cancel your Indiequery subscription at any time directly from your account settings. When you cancel, you'll retain full access until the end of your current billing period, with no additional charges. If you want your account and data completely removed, you can email support, and we will delete all your information within 7 business days.
No refunds are offered, but you keep access until your current billing period ends, and your account email remains available if you want to restart your subscription later. The cancellation process is straightforward and requires no explanation.
